TWO PEOPLE HURT WHEN VEHICLE HITS DEER

Two people were hurt when a vehicle hit a deer on Saturday afternoon.

A report from Oregon State Police said just after 3:00 p.m. a sedan struck the animal while northbound on Interstate 5, about a mile south of the Myrtle Creek exit. The vehicle sustained front end damage. The operator and the passenger were transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries.

The sedan had to be towed from the scene.
