Two people were cited in an alleged assault on Saturday.

A Roseburg Police report said the pair were involved in an incident in the 1800 block of Southeast Douglas Avenue shortly after 8:00 a.m. Both people sustained injuries. The report said each person provided different versions of the same story but there was probable cause to charge each of them. They were separated but neither could be jailed due to medical reasons.

The 54-year old was cited with fourth-degree assault, a felony count of strangulation and for menacing. The 70-year old was cited for fourth-degree assault. Both were released after the citations were issued.
