WIND ADVISORY THROUGH 4:00 P.M. MONDAY

January 2, 2022 3:30 p.m. 

A Wind Advisory remains in effect from 4:00 p.m. Sunday through 4:00 p.m. Monday for central Douglas County and surrounding areas.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said south to southeast winds of 25 to 35 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 miles per hour are expected. Gusts up to 60 miles per hour over the higher ridgelines and peaks are forecast.

The Advisory area includes central Douglas County, Josephine and Jackson counties and eastern Curry County including portions of Interstate 5, US Highway 199, and highways 42 and 38.

Forecasters said gusty winds could blow around or damage loose and unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Driving may become difficult for high profile vehicles.
