WIND ADVISORY SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON

A Wind Advisory is in effect for central Douglas County and surrounding areas from 4:00 p.m. Sunday through 4:00 p.m. Monday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said south to southeast winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour are expected with gusts up to 45 miles per hour. Gusts up to 60 miles per hour are possible over higher ridgelines and peaks.

The Advisory area also applies to Josephine and Jackson counties and eastern Curry County including portions of Interstate 5, US Highway 199, and highways 42 and 38.

Forecasters said gusty winds could blow around or damage loose and unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Driving may become difficult for high profile vehicles.
