A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for central Douglas County from 10:00 a.m. Thursday through 10:00 a.m. Friday above 2,000 feet.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said 2 to 6 inches of snow is expected. This is mainly for higher terrain east of Interstate 5 including Highway 227 from Tiller to Trail over the Umpqua Divide.
