TWO WOMAN JAILED, ONE CITED, FOLLOWING ALLEGED ASSAULT INCIDENT

Two women were jailed and one was cited following an alleged assault incident in Tenmile on Wednesday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said the first woman allegedly punched the second one after that woman had grabbed her hair, in the 9,000 block of Highway 42. The second woman was reportedly intoxicated and upset with the first woman and started grabbing her hair. The first woman started punching the second woman and a third suspect joined in.

The third woman said the second suspect had given her two black eyes. At 5:15 p.m. the first and third woman were jailed and both were charged with fourth-degree felony assault and third-degree assault. Each was held on $100,000 bail. The second woman was cited for harassment and then was released.
