A transient was jailed for an alleged trespass and burning incident on Tuesday.

A Douglas County Sheriff Office report said the 38-year old has been allegedly breaking into a motor home on property in the 18000 block of Highway 38 East, for a while. At about 12:15 p.m. the transient allegedly started a warming fire in the vehicle’s sink and caught part of the motor home on fire.

The report said the suspect has been advised of trespass several times in the past by the property owner. The suspect was located and admitted to trespassing on two properties before entering the vehicle and starting the fire.

The transient was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal trespass and for reckless burning. He was released on Wednesday.
