Crater Lake National Park received 27 inches of snow on Monday, and had 76 inches of snow on the ground as of Tuesday.

Information from the National Park Service said that is well above the average amount of just over 40 inches for this time of year.

The road to the Rim Village in the park has been closed since last Friday, due to deep snow. The north entrance to the park is closed while the park’s west and south entrances, both on Highway 62, are open.

The parks gas station, lodges and campground are closed for the winter.
