Roseburg Police arrested a man following an alleged gas siphoning incident early Monday.

An RPD report said at 2:30 a.m. officers responded to the 700 block of West Ballf Street and allegedly found 24-year old Ryland Benefiel hiding in the backseat of a pickup. The suspect admitted to stealing gas and was found to have a warrant. Charges included unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, third-degree theft, two counts of second-degree criminal trespass and for a probation violation. Benefiel was detained, according to the report.
