1 person was injured in a recreational vehicle fire on Sunday.
Fire Marshal Brian Jewell of the Roseburg Fire Department said just after 11:00 a.m. personnel responded to the fire in the 1700 block of Southeast Mill Street.

Jewell said upon arrival, firefighters found a fully involved motorhome with the occupant outside the vehicle. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and completed overhaul. The vehicle was a total loss due to fire, smoke and water damage. The resident was displaced. He sustained burn injuries and smoke inhalation but refused medical treatment and transport.

Jewell said the fire was initiated by the occupant lighting a gas stove when a small fire flashed, igniting some nearby papers. 9 firefighters assisted with firefighting operations. Douglas County Fire District No.2, Umpqua Valley Ambulance and the Roseburg Police Department also responded to the fire.
