The Roseburg Dream Center is seeking community help as they try to hand out 100 meals to-go on Christmas Eve.

Organizer Christopher Hutton said volunteers are needed to help pack and distribute the meals, along with donations of supplies, and money to purchase items that are not brought in.

Food needed includes 6 large hams, 80 pounds of potatoes, dozens of cans of green beans, bags of precooked rolls, a variety of deserts, and cases of water. Money will help buy biodegradable take out boxes and utensils, hand warmers, hats, gloves, coats and cold weather supplies.

Hutton said that hams, green beans and potatoes need to be dropped off by Tuesday. The remaining donations can be brought in through Thursday. Donation hours are 9:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. The Dream Center is at 2555 Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard.

Those interested in helping to distribute the meals on Christmas Eve should show up by 1:00 p.m. to help pack. Then they will split up into teams to deliver the meals.
