The Douglas County Parks Department has announced that they will temporarily close the Windy Cove Crab and Fishing Dock on Salmon Harbor Drive in Winchester Bay.

The closure will begin on January 1st and is expected to run through the end of February for needed infrastructure repairs and annual preventative maintenance.

A county release said due to the nature of the work, public use will not be allowed during the closure period. The project deadline is dependent on the weather and the availability of materials.

The parking lot, day use area and beach access at the Windy Cove County Park will remain open for the public. Citizens are asked to use extreme caution when visiting while work is taking place.
