One person was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle wreck on Saturday.

A report from Sutherlin Police said at about 8:20 p.m. a vehicle was north bound on North State Street while a second vehicle was headed southbound. As the second vehicle began to pass the intersection with West Sixth Street, the driver attempted to turn left, failing to yield and causing the crash.

The passenger in the first vehicle was taken to CHI Mercy Medical Center due to injuries sustained in the accident. The driver of that vehicle was cited for not having an operator’s license and for making a dangerous left turn.
