Sutherlin Police jailed a man for an alleged prior assault and for warrants, after contacting him on Saturday night.
An SPD report said just after 6:30 p.m. 23-year old Santana Villarreal was located at a business in the 100 block of Myrtle Street and detained, due to a warrant.
The report said on December 11th, the suspect allegedly punched a victim in the face twice while she was driving and once at his home, causing her nose to bleed. The victim reportedly had significant bruising and swelling around her right eye, and a small cut. Her nose was swollen and her lip was split.
Villarreal was charged with three counts of 4th degree assault, menacing, second-degree criminal trespass and two failure to appear warrants. Bail was set at $43,750.
