Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office investigated a car verses pedestrian accident in Riddle on Sunday.

A DCSO report said just before 5:30 p.m. the wreck took place in the 300 block of East Fifth Avenue. The report said based on information from the pedestrian, it appeared she has crossed the parking lot without checking for a vehicle that was entering it. The pedestrian was checked out by emergency medical personnel. She was treated and released at CHI Mercy Medical Center, according to a hospital spokesperson.
