12 more people have died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, 218 more people have received new positive test results, and 23 more are presumptive, as of Wednesday.
The Douglas County COVID-19 Weekly Update covered data reported between December 9th, and Wednesday.
8 newly reported deaths include: a 95-year old woman, a 96-year old woman, a 61-year old man, a 95-year old woman, a 60-year old woman, a 63-year old woman, a 94-year old man, and a 77-year old man. 6 were not vaccinated and 2 were fully vaccinated.
4 delayed reports of deaths include: an 89-year old man, a 93-year old man, an 88-year old man, and a 54-year old man. 3 were not vaccinated and 1 was fully vaccinated. Local health officials were notified of these deaths by Oregon Vital records this week.
The total number of cases is now at 13,912. Of those, 13,410 are people that have received positive test results and 502 are presumptive. 17 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 11 locally and 6 outside the area. 3 COVID-19 positive patients are in the Intensive Care Unit and 1 COVID-19 positive patient is in the Progressive Care Unit. 15 of the 17 hospitalized patients are not fully vaccinated.
