Drivers should be aware of black ice and slippery conditions on southwest Oregon roads and highways Tuesday morning.

Gary Leaming of the Oregon Department of Transportation said motorists should check road conditions before leaving and budget extra time into their commute. Leaming said drivers should watch for possible downed trees and slides on high Cascades highways, especially on Oregon 230 and 138E, especially near fire scars. More information at www.tripcheck.com
