ROSEBURG CITY COUNCIL MEETING STARTING EARLY

December 13, 2021 3:45 a.m.

Monday night’s Roseburg City Council meeting will begin early at 5:45 p.m.

Councilors will interview five people interested in joining the Planning Commission. Jim De Lap, Robert Prehall, Jacob Jolliff, Dylan Williams and Whitney Boss have all applied by for a seat being vacated by Stephanie Newman.

The regular council meeting will follow at 7:00 p.m. Staff is recommending that councilors approve a Parking Enforcement Services contract to ACE Parking for a three-year period to begin February 1st of next year. Downtown Roseburg and the Laurelwood neighborhood have been without active parking enforcement since March of 2020.

Councilors are being asked to approve extending the State of Emergency for the city, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, until June 30th, 2022.

Other items are on the agenda as well.

Mayor Larry Rich will issue a proclamation in honor of Gary Wayman, who passed away last Monday.
