A Myrtle Creek woman, who has been missing for over two weeks, still has not been found.

Detective Kevin Taggart of the Myrtle Creek Police said on November 27th at about 1:30 a.m., 77-year old Bonnie Jo Short left her residence and has not been heard from since. Taggart said Short was driving a silver 2015 Ford Explorer bearing Oregon license plate 900MLJ.

The last known location and direction of travel for Short’s vehicle was eastbound on Riverside Drive, heading towards South Myrtle Road. The vehicle was captured on security camera video at approximately 1:34 a.m. Taggart said police have been unable to locate any video or other evidence suggesting the woman drove back into town, although it is not impossible. MCPD, along with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Search and Rescue had been focusing the search out South Myrtle Road.

Short is 5 feet 4 inches tall, 110 pounds, with grey hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing blue slacks, a grey and blacked striped sweatshirt, black boots and a grey robe.

Taggart said MCPD continues to field tips and investigate them as they come in. An exhaustive search has had no success. Taggart said there are no further leads or evidence that points to continuing the physical search. The public is asked to remain observant and report anything that could help law enforcement find the woman or her vehicle. Anyone with information can call MCPD at 440-4471.
