Douglas County’s vaccine pace increased dramatically in the past week, according to the Douglas Public Health Network.

DPHN said 2,238 vaccines were given out. While most were booster doses, 281 new vaccines were administered, with 101 new vaccinations given to those ages 5 to 11. An update said that more vaccines are expected to be administered in the next week, now that booster doses are available for everyone, and with the recent approval of pediatric vaccines.

Using data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which includes federally administered doses given by the Roseburg VA, current information shows:

*For those 18 years of age and above in Douglas County who are fully vaccinated, the county is at 60 percent

*The percent of the entire population of the county who are fully vaccinated is 50 percent
