There is now an open position on the Winston City Council.

A release said the council declared a vacancy at its Monday night meeting pursuant to  its Charter.

Finance Clerk Cindy Sarti said councilor Teresa DeWald has moved out of the area, forcing her to resign her Ward 2 seat.

Those interested can download a Citizen Involvement application from www.winstoncity.org. Resumes are encouraged. A completed application must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on December 30th to be considered. The person selected will be in office until the end of 2022.
