DINT JAILS WOMAN ON MULTIPLE DRUG CHARGES

Detectives with the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team jailed a woman on multiple drug charges on Tuesday.

Lieutenant Rick McArthur said DINT initiated a traffic stop on Highway 138E, about 7 miles east of Roseburg. Drug detection K9 Trapper alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics in the vehicle. McArthur said a search revealed approximately 49 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 22 grams of suspected heroin and 20 counterfeit oxycontin pills that actually contained suspected fentanyl.

The driver of the vehicle, 25-year old Kimberly Briggs of Roseburg, was arrested and held for unlawful possession and attempted delivery of meth, heroin and schedule 2 controlled substances. Briggs was held on $500,000 bail.

Later that day, DINT detectives initiated another stop in the 2400 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard in Roseburg. Two of the occupants were found to have warrants for their arrest. One was jailed on a parole warrant. The other was cited and released on a failure to appear warrant. The driver of the vehicle was cited and released for unlawful possession of a firearm.
