Aviva Health will have a flu shot and child immunization clinic in north Douglas County on Monday.

It will take place in two locations:

*At Yoncalla High School from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

*At Elkton High School from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Aviva said flu vaccine prevents millions of illnesses and flu-related doctor’s visits each year and can reduce the risk of flu-associated hospitalization for children, working-age adults and older adults.

Insurance will be billed for those who have it. Those who are uninsured or underinsured can receive services on a sliding fee scale based on monthly income. Financial assistance may also be available through existing public health programs.
