The City of Sutherlin will host a public open house Thursday night to share more information about the design of Phase 2 of upcoming projects and improvements at Ford’s Pond Community Park.
A release said the improvements will include an inclusive playground, ADA restrooms, amenities and path improvements.
The 202-acre open space park is one-mile west of Interstate 5 and adjacent to Highway 138W. The park is popular for hiking on the 1.75-mile pond perimeter path and the hillside trails that lead to views of nearby valleys. Bikes and leashed dogs are welcome.
The open house will be at the Sutherlin Community Center on South Willamette Street. Contact the City of Sutherlin for more information.
