Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a woman following an alleged strangulation incident on Sunday.

A DCSO report said at about 9:00 p.m. the 39-year old and the victim were allegedly involved in a disturbance in the 5000 block of Northeast Stephens Street, north of Roseburg. The report said the suspect might have broken her arm trying to take the victim to the ground. She left before a deputy could arrive.

The victim said the suspect had slapped him, stomped his foot and shin and grabbed him by the throat affecting his ability to breathe for a few seconds. The suspect was found at CHI Mercy Medical Center where she was being seen for her arm. This time she said she fell over a bed frame, hurting it.

The suspect was jailed for strangulation and for a warrant. She was released from custody on Monday.
