COUNTY CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY IS SATURDAY

November 26, 2021 3:45 a.m.

The Douglas County Christmas Tree lighting ceremony is Saturday night.

The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. on the front lawn of the courthouse. The family friendly evening is free and open to all ages.

The ceremony is a collaborative effort of the Douglas County Commissioners, Downtown Roseburg Association and First Christian Church. It will include a program of music, the annual reading of “Twas the Night Before Christmas” and a visit from Santa Claus. First Christian Church will have their traditional nativity scene on display, across the street from the courthouse, with refreshments served.

Those attending are encouraged to stroll through downtown Roseburg to see the festive storefronts and Christmas lights while visiting local businesses, stores and restaurants. The lights on the Douglas County Christmas Tree and the courthouse will remain on display through the holiday season.
