2 DELAYED DEATH REPORTS, 86 MORE POSITIVE, 5 MORE POSITIVE

2 more people have died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, 86 more people have received new positive test results, and 5 more are presumptive, as of Wednesday.

The Douglas County COVID-19 Update covered data reported Tuesday and Wednesday.

The new deaths are delayed reports and include:

*An 86-year old woman who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on September 26th and passed away on November 6th.

*An 89-year old woman who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on August 19th and passed away on September 21st

Douglas Public Health Network was notified of the deaths by Oregon Vital Records this week.

The total number of cases is now at 13,248. Of those, 12,818 are people that have received positive test results and 430 are presumptive. 30 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 27 locally and 3 outside the area, including 1 that is being cared for out of state. 2 COVID positive patients are in the Intensive Care Unit and 3 are in the Progressive Care Unit. 27 of the 30 hospitalized patients are not fully vaccinated.

Starting next week, the local update will shift to a weekly release schedule. The first weekly release will be issued next Wednesday December 1st.
