DRIVER TAKEN TO HOSPITAL FOLLOWING SINGLE VEHICLE WRECK

The driver was taken to the hospital after a single-vehicle wreck on Monday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 4:25 a.m. the man was southbound on Glenbrook Loop Road near Council Creek Road in Riddle when he lost control of his Jeep while coming over the icy bridge. The vehicle rolled at least once and man was ejected when the hard top of the Jeep came off. There were no seat belts and no airbags in the vehicle.

The driver complained of back pain and was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center. He was later transferred to PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition, according to a hospital spokesperson.

The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
