A Roseburg man was jailed following an alleged menacing incident on Thursday.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 2:40 p.m. the 43-year old was said to be in the middle of the 4300 block of Buckhorn Road, when the victims were getting home. The suspect was allegedly swinging a knife and staring at the victims. The man then put the knife away and tried to start a fight with the male victim. The report said the victims were afraid for their lives due to the suspect’s actions.
A deputy contacted the man and took him into custody after a brief struggle. Charges included menacing and second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $8,750.
