3 MORE DEATHS, 120 MORE POSITIVE TEST RESULTS, 6 MORE PRESUMPTIVE

3 more people have died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, 120 more people have received new positive test results, and 6 more are presumptive, as of Thursday.

The Douglas County COVID-19 Update covered data reported Tuesday through Thursday. The new deaths include a 64-year old woman who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on Sunday and passed away on Monday, a 52-year old woman who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on October 23rd and passed away on Tuesday and an 87-year old man who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on August 25th and passed away on September 11th. The Douglas Public Health Network was notified of this death by Oregon Vital Records this week. None were vaccinated.

The total number of cases is now at 13,042. Of those, 12,629 are people that have received positive test results and 413 are presumptive. 27 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 18 locally and 9 outside the area, including 1 that is being cared for out of state. 2 COVID-19 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit and 2 are in the Progressive Care Unit. 23 of the 27 hospitalized patients are not fully vaccinated.
