A Roseburg woman was cited after police deployed a taser on her dog, on Monday.

A Roseburg Police report said just before 10:00 a.m. an officer tased the 80-pound animal after being aggressively chased by it and fearing imminent attack. This took place at Gaddis Park, in the 800 block of Northwest Highland.

The woman was cited for violation of the dog leash law. She was released after the citation was issued
