A Freeze Warning is in effect for early Wednesday for parts of central Douglas County.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29 degrees are expected. The Warning area includes the communities of Drain, Sutherlin, Green, Myrtle Creek and Canyonville.

Forecasters said that frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, and other sensitive vegetation and could possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

The Warning is in place from 1:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
