Covering coastal Douglas County:

Paving operations will resume in the City of Reedsport this week. The schedule includes:

*Tuesday, crews will continue prepping Hawthorne Avenue between 20th and 21st Street and apply the first layer of pavement as well as prepping and paving the entrance and exit of Frontage Road at Ranch Road and 22nd Street.

*Wednesday, crews will pave the City Hall and Police Department parking lot as well as  prep and pave Winchester Avenue from 5th Street north to Highway 38.

*Thursday, crews will apply the second and final layer of pavement on Hawthorne Avenue between 20th and 21st Street.

Residents in affected areas must remove vehicles and other items off the roadway before 7:00 a.m. Be cautious of workers in the area and use alternate routes where possible.
