The Douglas County Board of Commissioners have issued a notice reminding residents that most county government offices will be closed on Thursday in observance of Veterans Day.

Exceptions include:

*The Douglas County Museum and the Umpqua River Lighthouse Museum will be open Thursday for normal business hours

*All county parks, campgrounds and boat ramps will be open and accessible to the public

*Sheriff’s deputies and 911 communications staff will continue to provide law enforcement protection and emergency assistance

*County Commissioners and members of the Douglas County COVID-19 response will continue to work regardless of the holiday

Commissioners ask that the public thank veterans for their service by attending the 66th annual Douglas County Veterans Day Parade Thursday at 11:00 a.m.
