WIND ADVISORY THROUGH MID-MORNING THURSDAY

November 3, 2021 5:00 p.m. 

A Wind Advisory is in effect through 9:00 a.m. Thursday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said it’s in place for parts of central Douglas County, all of Josephine County and for eastern Curry County.

Southeast winds from 20 to 30 miles per hour are expected with gusts up to 45 miles per hour.  The Advisory is for high terrain areas, including Sexton Pass on Interstate 5 and Hayes Hill on Highway 199. Azalea will also be impacted by the gusty winds.

Forecasters said gusty winds could blow unsecured objects around. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
