Winston Police are seeking a driver who fled, following a police chase on Tuesday.
A WPD report said just after 1:30 p.m. officers observed an older SUV being driven recklessly in the 5100 block of Old Highway 99 South in Green. The vehicle was allegedly weaving between lanes, passing vehicles and traveling at 77 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone near Landers Avenue.
The report said officers attempted to stop the vehicle but it continued past Kelly’s Corner, hitting a vehicle, while attempting to pass on the sidewalk. The vehicle ran a light and continued eastbound running another light at Grant Smith Road before heading south on Interstate 5.
The pursuit was terminated due to safety concerns. Myrtle Creek officers found the SUV later in a driveway in the 4000 block of Dole Road. The driver had taken off and was not located. He was identified as Nicolas Kremer, who has a no bail warrant out of California. The vehicle had three firearms that were seized. The report said the suspect may be in possession of a firearm.
