OSP SEEKING PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN POACHING CASE

Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife troopers are investigating the case of an unlawfully killed deer off of Interstate 5.

A preliminary investigation has revealed that the animal was killed Saturday adjacent to the freeway near the crest of Roberts Mountain. The incident took place on the east side of the roadway at about 5:00 p.m. The animal was retrieved by a man associated with a newer burgundy or maroon GMC Sierra or similar model 4-door truck with black rims and a black step bar. The truck left the area headed northbound on the freeway at about 5:15 p.m.
