Thursday was a warm sunny afternoon in the Umpqua Valley, but the high temperature was not quite a record.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service told News Radio 1240 KQEN that the mercury reached 78 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The record high for the date was 80 degrees, set in 1944.
Medford got to 74 degrees, which was also not a record.
Rain is slated to dominate the weather in the region for much of the next week.
