2 MORE DEATHS, 68 MORE POSITIVE TEST RESULTS, 3 MORE PRESUMPTIVE

2 more people have died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, 68 more people have received new positive test results and 3 more are presumptive, as of Friday.

The Douglas County COVID-19 Update covered data reported Thursday and Friday.

The Douglas Public Health Network has confirmed that that the county’s 254th COVID-19 related death was an 89-year old woman who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on October 18th and passed away on Wednesday. The 255th COVID-19 related death was a 70-year old man who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on September 14th and passed away on October 23rd. Neither were vaccinated.

The update said the total number of cases is now at 12,398. Of those, 12,024 are people that have received positive test results, and 374 are presumptive. 31 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 20 locally and 11 outside the area. 2 COVID positive patients are in the Intensive Care Unit and none are in the Progressive Care Unit. 25 of the 31 hospitalized patients are not fully vaccinated.
