2 more people have died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, 110 more people have received new positive test results, and 1 presumptive has moved to positive with a positive test result, as of Wednesday.

The Douglas County COVID-19 Update covered data reported Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Douglas Public Health Network has confirmed that the county’s 252nd COVID-19 related death was a 48-year old man who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on September 1st and passed away on Tuesday. The 253rd COVID-19 related death was a 61-year old woman who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on September 7th and also passed away on Tuesday. Neither were vaccinated.

The update said the total number of cases is now at 12,327. Of those, 11,956 are people that have received positive test results and 371 are presumptive. 31 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 17 locally and 14 outside the area, including 1 that has been transferred out of state. 4 COVID-19 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit and none are in the Progressive Care Unit. 26 of the 31 hospitalized patients are not fully vaccinated.
