Roseburg Police jailed a man in a reported disorderly conduct incident on Sunday.

The RPD report said the suspect’s behavior generated several calls for service through the morning. He was initially taken to CHI Mercy Medical Center on a mental hold. The man left the hospital and immediately allegedly stole coffee from a nearby business. The suspect then threw the coffee bottle on the ground, shattering glass all over a parking lot in the 2600 block of Northwest Edenbower Boulevard.

The man’s behavior alarmed several people in the area and he was taken to jail. 31-year old Christopher Cook was charged with second-degree counts of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief and for a third-degree count of theft. He was detained on $10,000 bail.
