It was a rainy Sunday in Roseburg with gusty winds impacting the area in the mid-afternoon.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service told News Radio 1240 KQEN that .44 inches of rain fell at the Roseburg Regional Airport. In contrast, Medford only received .15 inches of rain.
Around 2:45 p.m. gusty winds hit the area with heavy rain for over 30 minutes. The Weather Service said the peak wind gust during the storm was 43 miles per hour. Observers reported signs blowing over, and various debris being blown down area streets.
Rain is expected through Wednesday in the Umpqua Valley.
