The fire closure area has decreased on the Umpqua National Forest.

A release said a new closure order closes some trails on the UNF lands, with no large area closures, giving greater access to National Forest System lands.

Some roads and trails are still closed for public safety, as post-wildfire hazards continue to be assessed and mitigated. For a complete list of closed road and trail systems, go to: https://www.fs.usda.gov/alerts/umpqua/alerts-notices
