A Winchester woman was jailed following an alleged elude incident on Tuesday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at about 11:00 p.m. a deputy stopped a vehicle for violations on Interstate-5 about a mile south of the Aunlauf Lorane exit. The driver, identified as 39-year old Megan Osborne reportedly took off. The deputy pursued her sedan for about 14 miles, where Cottage Grove Police successfully deployed spike strips.

Osborne drove for another two miles and then turned onto Sears Lane where she was unable to continue. She was ultimately taken into custody. Charges included eluding police, reckless driving, reckless endangering, and for a warrant. Bail was set at $68,750.
