All three incumbent Douglas County Commissioners have filed for reelection in 2022 and one already has a challenger.

Tim Freeman, Chris Boice and Tom Kress all filed on September 9th, the day candidates could make their intentions officially known.

Marcus Black of Drain filed to run against Kress on September 17th. Black listed his occupation as logger. The graduate of North Douglas High School also attended Umpqua Community College where he studied business, accounting and personal finance.

In other county races, incumbent County Assessor Heather Coffel has filed for reelection as well. So far County Surveyor Ron Quimby has not filed as a candidate for reelection.

Candidates have until March 8th, 2022 to file for the May Primary Election.
