MAN JAILED ON DRUG, FIREARMS CHARGES

A Roseburg man was jailed on drug and weapons charges on Friday night.

A Roseburg Police report said at 11:30 p.m. officers contacted William Cole in the 100 block of Northeast Garden Valley Boulevard, knowing he had a warrant. During his arrest, the 39-year old allegedly had approximately 5.89 grams of suspected heroin, and a drug investigation began. A consent search of the man’s SUV, reportedly revealed evidence of drug dealing, brass knuckles and a Ruger .38 revolver.

Cole was charged with attempted unlawful delivery of heroin, a felony count of unlawful possession of heroin, being a felon in possession of a firearm and a restricted weapon, and for a parole violation. He was detained without bail and was also cited for a warrant out of the Albany Police Department.
