GOVERNOR APPOINTS DOUG GRAFE AS WILDFIRE PROGRAMS DIRECTOR

Governor Kate Brown has announced the appointment of Doug Grafe as Wildfire Programs Director.

A release said that position was created through SB762, comprehensive wildfire legislation grounded in the recommendations developed by the Governor’s Council on Wildfire Response. In this role, Grafe will serve as the principal advisor to the Governor on wildfire prevention and will oversee the implementation of the legislation, including coordinating activities of the involved state agencies and other entities. His appointment is effective on October 18th.

Grafe joins the Governor’s Office from the Oregon Department of Forestry where he has worked for the last 17 years in a variety of positions. Prior to his work at ODF, Grafe held positions with the City of Albany, Pacific Gas & Electric in California, and Georgia Pacific Corporation in Florida.
