4 more people have died related to COVID-19 in Douglas County, and 88 more people have received new positive test results, as of Wednesday.
The Douglas County COVID-19 Update covered information reported Tuesday and Wednesday.
The new deaths include:
*An 84-year old woman who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on September 20th and passed away on October 8th
*A 72-year old woman who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on September 16th and passed away on September 18th
*A 73-year old man who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on September 1st and passed away on October 3rd
*A 60-year old woman who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on August 29th and passed away on October 2nd.
Only the 84-year old woman was fully vaccinated.
The update said the total number of cases is now at 11,725. Of those, 11,384 are people that have received positive test results and 341 are presumptive. 41 Douglas County COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 26 locally and 15 outside the area including 1 that has been transferred out of state. 5 COVID positive patients are in the Intensive Care Unit and 4 are in the Progressive Care Unit. 38 out of the 41 patients are not fully vaccinated.
