The South Umpqua School Foundation has made the decision to cancel its 16th annual benefit live dinner auction due to the uncertain times that COVID-19 has brought to the area.

A release said the group is offering an alternative to those who would still like to contribute to the efforts of the organization. An online auction will begin Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. and go until Thursday night at 8:00 p.m.

Tax deductible donations to go towards projects supporting the schools and the 1,400 students in the district, can be made by sending a check to the foundation at P.O. Box 514, Myrtle Creek, 97457.
