MERCY MEDICAL UPDATES VISITOR POLICY

October 8, 2021 3:30 a.m.

Due to the decreasing number of COVID-19 patients, CHI Mercy Medical Center has changed its Visitor Guidelines, effective Friday.

*COVID Positive patients are allowed 1 visitor per day per patient

*Outpatients are allowed 1 visitor per day per patient as well. Due to facility space limitations and the ability to manage both social distancing and Oregon-OSHA cleaning protocols for public areas, patients coming for outpatient services – day surgery, imaging, lab, heart center procedures, wound care, infusion services, and pulmonary function – will allow 1 visitor, unless the patient has a disability that requires assistance.

*Inpatients hospital wide are allowed 1 visitor per day per patient.

The 1 visitor is allowed during the visitation hours of 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Children under age 12 are not permitted at this time.

Masks continue to be required at all Mercy facilities for patients, staff and visitors. Other personal protective equipment may be required upon arrival. All employees, patients and visitors must answer screening questions prior to entering any of the medical facilities, offices and clinics.
